The Inter-University Master's Degree in Physics (2nd level degree - Laurea magristrale) is jointly delivered by the University of Trieste and Universiy of Udine.
It is a two-year programme subdivided into the following curricula:
- Condensed Matter Physics;
- Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics;
- Theoretical Physics;
- Astrophysics and Cosmology;
- Terrestrial and Environmental Physics.
What about the programme?
The programme covers a wide range of subjects from Atomic and Molecular Physics to Cosmology, Condensed Matter Physics, Physics of Medical Imaging, etc.
After passing all exams (thus achieving 80 ECTS), participants prepare and defend a dissertation (worth 40 ECTS) on a scientific topic focusing on research, industry or education.
The qualification granted is an MSc Degree (Laurea Magistrale) in Physics from Trieste University.
How to apply?
Graduates holding a bachelor's degree from an Italian university or equivalent qualification awarded by a recognized university abroad can enroll in the MSc Degree course in Physics.
Knowledge of Physics is a prerequisite.
The applicants' preparation will be assessed through an analysis of their studies and accomplishments, which may be followed by a test. Entry requirements and assessment procedures are outlined in the Teaching Regulations for the MSc Degree.
