It certifies that the flat/house you have rent meets the specific requirements envisaged by law. It is requested to Non Eu citizen willing to apply for:
- family reunion/accompaying family/family cohesion;
- EU long-term residence permit;
- work permit.
N.B. Research visa or research permit holders do NOT need to submit Idoneità abitativa for family reunion but they need to submit it for EU long-term residence permit.
Before starting the application it is recommended to verify with the landlords whether the certificate has already been issued.
Where to apply and how much does it cost?
The application form must be hand in to the Record Office (Ufficio Protocollo) of the municipalility you live in by submitting: - form "Dichiarazione sostitutiva dell'atto di notorietà" filled in and signed by the landlords along with a copy of their identity card
- copy of your passport and preferably also a copy of your permit of stay
- copy of the plan (planimetria catastale) and a visura storica of the house/apartment. You can get it at Agenzia del Territorio (Catasto Edilizio). Ask the landlord for these documents
- copy of the tenancy agreement signed and registered and copy of the Agenzie delle Entrate' receipt. Also "Comodato d'uso" contracts must be registered
- copy of the payment required.
One or two revenue stamps (marca da bollo) of €16.00 may be asked for the application as well as for the payment receipt.
