For a Brazilian (38 years old), passionate about having contact with new cultures, and who has been living in France over the last years, having received the invitation to join an international multidisciplinary elite research center was a singular opportunity involving both a personal and professional point of view. Experiencing the FVG region, people & the environment only have positively contributed to start an undetermined chapter in my life. 
The assistance and help given by the Welcome Office FVG was priceless for a smooth arrival and a successful settling in the FVG region – Trieste.

The Welcome Office: has sent me a list with selected suitable places to rent (such as flats, etc.); has given full information support concerning the nationalization of both my driving license and my foreign car; very kindly helped with the full understanding of specifications in my tenancy agreement; advised and well informed about the singularities of the local utilities (such as internet, electricity, etc.).

What I did most appreciate in Welcome Office was its kind patience combined with a pertinent efficiency in research, complete explanations and its readiness to provide information in various demanding subjects.

Finally, I have no objection in recommending the Welcome Office services for all future arrivals which are planning to move to the FVG region. They way of work and how they lead with “us” (the arrivals) should definitively serve as an international reference model for such kind of institutions. To them, my deepest “obrigado”.

I recently finished my PhD from India and came to Trieste to join as a Post-doctoral fellow. I am going to stay in Trieste for next two years.
Welcome Office FVG helped me a lot especially during the initial phase of settling down. They assisted me to find an apartment and helped me in opening the utilities. They also translated many official documents from Italian to English which made my life a lot easier. 
I really appreciate their prompt response to all my queries. They were always happy to assist me on phone or in person at their office.

I arrived to Trieste with my family because I got a postdoctoral position to expand my knowledge in experimental physics. The biggest obstacle we had was to find a suitable accommodation, especially since we were arriving with small children. Welcome Office FVG was very helpful since they were able to find a very nice accommodation in the city center in very short period. Also there was a lot of forms in Italian that I didn’t know how to fill since I didn’t know the language. Welcome Office FVG translated every form, explained how to fill it and what are the next steps I need to do. They helped a lot and made our moving to Italy less stressful and easier. 

I appreciated the most their extremely fast reply to each e-mail I’ve send. They put a lot of effort to reply in a very polite way to all the questions and demands. Their assistance is extremely necessary for foreign researcher arriving to Trieste without prior knowledge of Italian language.

I came alone to Trieste for my PhD, my husband joined me later. Upon my arrival, Welcome Office FVG helped me to settle down with accommodation and permit of stay. They helped a lot when I needed to get the “nulla osta” for my husband. It was a tough time for me as I also had to study and be at the lab working. Without Welcome Office FVG, it would have been an impossible feat. What I appreciate most is that Welcome Office FVG is always there! Ready to help. They replied my messages and enquiries right on time. I appreciate them a lot! They make my life in Trieste a whole lot easier as they give correct and timely information!
