The offer of second level degrees (Laurea magristrale) and masters is broad and outstanding in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Graduate students who want to pursue a career in Physics and related issues can choose among several graduate programmes, offered by the many scientific institutions of the region in collaboration with other universities and organisations.These are:

1. University of Trieste and the University of Udine;
2. International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA);
3. International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).

Students from developing countries may be interested in taking part in the ICTP postgraduate diploma programme before attending a Phd course.
