Students who are pursuing their dottorato/PhD in Physics in the region can benefit from a very rich and stimulating environment, which is full of opportunities and with a range of possible research activities.
There are many experimental, theoretical and computational activities offered by the University of Trieste, SISSA (International School for Advanced Studies) and the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).
Students will have the opportunity to have access to national and international laboratories and collaborate to international research projects.

Students will have the unique chance to be trained or doing research activities at outstanding research centres like Elettra Sincrotrone and the free-electron laser source (Fermi), Trieste division of the National Nuclear Physics Institute (INFN), the local section of the National Astrophysics Institute and the Observatory (INAF OATS), the research and development laboratory "Istituto officinal dei materiali" (CNR), etc.
