The request form can be submitted at Ufficio Anagrafe by hand, by email or by registered e-mail (PEC).
A registration certificate (attestato) should be issued within 2 working days. No fees are charged.
The application consists of:
- request form filled out and signed
- landlords' declaration form (signed by the landlord)
- copies of valid Passport or ID
- for NON EU citizens, copy of a valid permit of stay or copy of the expired permit of stay and the postal receipt of the renewal. Please note that foreigners who are waiting for the first issue of a subordinate work permit can register with the receipt of the post office.
- copy of certificate of attendance issued by the institution you are enrolled in or documents proving your professional position (i.e. work contract, study/research grant, etc.)
- copy of Italian tax identification number (Codice Fiscale)
- proof of valid health insurance (private health insurance translated into italian, Italian National Health System)
- copy of marital status certificate and marriage certificate (issued on an international multilingual form OR translated and legalized OR with apostille) if you want your relationship with your spouse/partner to be recognised in Italy
- If you need to register your children: copy of the birth certificate (issued on an international multilingual form OR translated and legalized OR with apostille)
