Residence permit for minors

Permesso di soggiorno per minori

Children up to 14 years old are asked to apply for their resident permit for family.

Their personal data will be reported in the parent application's kit.

How to apply?
Parents must pay an additional postal giro slip of €30.46 for their children's permit. No application kit is asked. The postal giro slip must report the child’s name and surname in the space “eseguito da”.

The pay slip must be added to the application kit of the parent(s) when applying for their first permits when entering Italy together or after birth if the baby was born in Italy.

For birth, parents will need to apply for an update of their permits (a new request kit is asked to be sent together with the copy of the postal giro slip of €30,46 reporting the child's personal data by post office).

From the age of 14 (and until 18 years old) the minor has the right to apply for a residence permit for family reasons (type number 14).

An application kit must be sent.

Duration
The permit will be issued according to the parents’ duration and it will be renewed for the same duration as the parent's residence permit, so long as the requisites required for family reunion are still met.
