Tax year in Italy is as the calendar year. To declare income, the taxpayer can fill different forms (e.g. Modello Unico, Modello 730 etc..) acccording to the personal work situation. PEC stands for posta elettronica certificata which means “certified e-mail”.
A certified email guarantees legal certainty of the sender’s identity, of the date and time of sending and receiving the email, and of its content. You can use it to officially write and send documents to the Italian public administration, citizens, private companies etc..
With PEC you can send a certified email, that has legal value, from your house or office, which will be received instantaneously.
It has the same value of a registered letter (lettera raccomandata).
There are several companies that offer PEC accounts. Usually, they all ask for a monthly/annual subscription.

Certified (or sworn) translation is a translation along with the translator’s declaration which certifies that the translated document is a true and accurate translation of the original one. The local Courthouse (Tribunale) is in charge of this.
You may need a certified translation for several administrative purposes in Italy and when you cannot provide a document with apostillae or already translated in Italian and legalised by the local Italian Embassy.
